Car Jack

Hey.

My lad just bought his first car. It wasn't until he got the car home we realised that there was no spare wheel or wheel kit.

I just need to know if this scissor jack will fit his car?

I'm sure it will but would like it confirmed.

It should work but it might be a bit harder on the sills than the VAG equivalent one. Why not get the right one from ebay along with the rest of the bits that should be in the boot? I'm a Polo 9N "looker afterer" so maybe someone with an Ibiza can identify exactly what is meant to be in the boot.

In the case of the Polo 9N (same car broadly as Ibiza 6L), VW supplied it with a full sized steel spare wheel which is secured into the car by a bolt which also secures a neat plastic "wheel insert" tool kit which includes, jack + wheel brace = screwdriver/wheel nut spinner + wheel trim remover and also has a space for a few other things including a security nut.

Conveniently the spanner in the spare wheel kit also fits the battery terminals. Saved my life when a coil went pop on the way home!
