I saw this today on one of the modified car meet reviews and thought i would share

AN OPEN NOTE

There have been a few notorious incidents at UK car shows this year. Luckily no one has been seriously injured, but it could have been a very different story. It’s easy to take the shows that we attend for granted and get lost in the moment, but one poor decision can bring it all crashing down. Let’s all remember what we’re there for; friends, cars and celebrating a shared passion for everything automotive.

Social media can sometimes be a devil in disguise, especially if you’re on the wrong side of the camera. One minute it’s ‘hold my beer’, the next you’ve got all the followers you always wanted – just for all the wrong reasons. The sad fact is that poor decisions made by a few can cast a dark shadow over what car shows are really about, and ultimately spoil it for everyone.

Think about what you’re doing. Look out for each other. Remember that we all make mistakes.

Well Said.

A meet is just that, a meet not an invite to do Donuts, Burnouts, Drag Racing or anything else like that.

Personally, all the meets I have been involved with during my time on this Forum have been well organised and excellent to attend. I’ve made loads of new friends and hope to make more as the meets get more popular.

Here’s to plenty more and a great friendly atmosphere

Great little piece there!

Yeah I think our meets are just about the family side of it, we rock up with no one revving the balls off the engine and everyone parks up and says hello etc... Chat about cars... get some food and then head on home...

As it should be
