looking closer,it does have similarities to the one that came through the post.but is that definately the cause of the issue?id assume its the motor thats under the seat since the whirring noise is supposed to come from there.this is doing my box in

got the right one through. called 5 or 6 of the guys over to help take the rubber cover thing off the car, tried pulling,twisting,shouting and after a few broken screwdrivers and pliars we took a break. then our local legend came out and managed to calmly twist the rubber thing off with ease :\ wasnt funny. the replacement isnt a snug fit, its not 100% the same, but we tried it anyway. and thank god it worked...feels good to be back on the road saved a fortune by not getting it towed,diagnosed and fitting a new pump at the garage
