Car wax - £175 !!!!

Took a trip to demon tweaks on the weekend ans see this

Concours glaze wax for nearly £175

Iam just interested to know if anyone's ever bought it and if so how good was it (and I wanna see pics) didn't realise car polish can be that expensive

Also anyone used these, with what sort of results

Zymol is quality gear, but 175 is just daft,

personally Nattys paste blue every time, £15 quid,

Yes I know, wasn't going to buy any, just interested to see the results for £175.

That's nothing really, iv never paid that. Iv paid 40-50 quid for wax but some of them can go up to £100s couple are £1000s

Im more than happy with autoglym gd wax, paid £24 for kit and its gonna last me half my life time!

For £40,000 id expect it to was and wax itself, you could have a respray every couple of years, would look better than being waxed

It's just like anything really.

Why buy a camera for £3000, when a camera for £300 would do what most people would need.
It is because the £3000 camera will have so many more things that can be done from Higher ISO levels etc.

Same with Waxes, they all have different properties, from longevity to gloss etc.

Was only taking to someone about this sort of thing the other day...

Personally i doubt i'll ever be in a position to offer the crazy expensive waxes as protection options to customers but you never know

For my own car i use Zaino products and for me, they give a finish that i cannot fault which lasts for an easy 6 months. Some people prefer waxes though for the properties they have and the results they give.

I started with Nattys Blue but didnt like having to reapply it after a month or maybe 2 so quickly moved onto DoDo Juice waxes which offered more like 3-4 months. Progressing that through to SuperNatural which offers around 4 months but adds something extra to the finish.

Horses for courses though, the manufacturers make these waxes with astronomical prices because there are people out there that will buy them. With the £40K Zymol wax i'm fairly sure i read that you cant buy it off the shelf, you have to be "invited" to purchase it.

Its like the FXX Ferrari's, you get invited to buy the car but you cant take it away from the factory and cant use it on the road. Ferrari move the car to a track for you to drive it there and then put it away for you until the next time ! At least with waxes you can take them home and drool over them

these waxes for 1000s are for pretty exclusive cars / customers

autofinesse recently released one for about £120 i think

Generally speaking for your average person/car nothing wrong with some Collinite or Nattys

Exactely! So if you owned a high quality detailing business with a fair few employees and turnover then 40k isn't that bad!!

Generally details cost about the same, or there abouts... the high end (expensive) waxes are then usually offered as an option which you pay extra for over the cost of the detail. this wouldnt be a huge amount but a pot of wax may do 100 layers for example so if you charge £50 for that wax theres £5K to recover the cost of the wax. All the detailer has to do is ensure that the cost of the wax is covered by the cost he charges for applying it over time.

Cheers dude... been using it exclusively on my own car for 2 years now and cant fault it.

I did use a couple of waxes on it recently for testing purposes but theres still 6 layers of Z2 under them which will be unaffected when they wear out

There's a zymol wax that retails at £40,000 lol! Tbh wax is pointless without proper preparation and proper knowledge of how to use it. I'll stick with my panel pots for now
