Carbon canister removal

I want its home for a cold air feed so it has to go.

What do I need to do with the pipes? Block the one to the intake and point the one that looks like its coming from the tank to the ground?

Just trying to reasure myself bud, it seems a common thing to do on the mk3's but not on the mk2's.

Absorbs the fumes from the petrol tank then releases them into the inlet every so often.

Not quite as you've said.....

Unplug the two pipes from the top of the canister, and just connect them together IIRC

m0rk did a guide ages ago..... try searching

Im not sure about plumbing the two pipes together, at full chat theres going to be a good ole bit of vacuum at the inlet.

Dont look all that heavy Dave, just clears a nice bit of space.

Its a nice space with a direct route to the fog light hole, im re jigging my airbox to take advantage of the fresh air.........OEM+ SPT

Is an emissions thing, stops fumes entering the atmosphere and all that jazz. My motor wont be on the road much so thats my get out clause

i had it with my G60 when the engine was on a crate, it didnt even get to see the car. just bung up anything that doesnt have a connection, bobs your uncle and fanny is definatly your aunt.

except the tank breather stick a mini engine breather filter on that one, funnily enough dont seem to have one on the golf?! which is confussing.
