Carbon fiber sticker?

Hi all,

friend of mine knows someone who does carbon fiber wrapping. Not real carbon fiber, but a carbon fibre effect which sticks on, but still looks exactly like the real thing

I was looking to get my bonnet resprayed, but this is going to cost a good £400 at least, and his friend does professional wrapping for all sorts of cars, F1 included....so he certianly knows his stuff

so as a cheaper alternative I was thinking of doing this to mine, as a measure to cover the stone chips on my poor bonnet:(

I was also thinking of getting my wing mirrors done in this carbon wrap too.

what do people think this would look like on a pre-facelift cupra? it looks just like the real thing so I guess it would look spot on with the matching wing mirrors

covering I think is about £100....

I know what you mean mate, but i'm not sure about it, your cars black so might get away with it!
If you get it on with a good finish and no air bubbles and nice and straight them you should be fine!
Only thing is, when you do get a stone chip then it'll wrip the wrap (quite like that phrase) and look shite.

There seems to mixed opinions about Carbon bonnets some people seem a bit worried about them cuting off your head if you have an accident

For £400 you'll get a full bonnet respray and the wings done aswell
From a very good spray shop

tut, another good point:rolleyes::D

will start getting some quotes then come show season, but was looking for a cheap alternative for now, but as some of you have mentioned, going the sticker route aint worth it, so will put it towards something else

thanks:)

i have my fr+ in being painted at the minute by the best body shop in the area and they only wanted £150 to paint it for me and that is being sanded down to bare metal and being repainted again. there also blowing in over the tops of the wings to clean them up as well.

considering this too, i have a newly acquired pretty big stone chip at the front and a few all around the front, wondering if i should just get it completely resprayed or get chipsaway to deal with it?
If your going to put on a plastic sheet just aswell to either fill the stone chips yourself or get chips away to do it. Make sure your car is 100% clean before you fit this though.

I would doubt it is a very easy job TBH, the bulge on the LCR bonnet would make it difficult to lay this on squarely.
I wouldn't try it myself, its a job for the pro's
