Yep thats true. Its the same on ebay. I was looking at a gti which was advertised as a 16v. Had low mileage etc on it. Looked at the first picture and said to myself 'Not a 16v'.

Only good thing is that you may be able to get some money knocked off.

aye i can tell its not greatly bin looked after like but been trying to give it as much tlc as i can

but had loadsa stuff go on the mk4 plus im getting rid of the mk4 so have been getting it ready to sell but soon will have more time and money to concentrate on it

i have coilovers waiting to go on like and im still trying to find a gti head lamp so they match

and i had that problem when i was looking for one people trying to pass 8v off as 16v
