Anyone thinking of buying a car from Castlegate shouldn't. The sales team is ok but the service department are rubbish. They don't know what they are on about. I bought an ibiza off them which had several problems and it took them a few months to eventually get them all sorted so steer clear of them. :)

got my cupra r from them... had a few problems with boost.. one told me that my LCR did not have a DV on that note i walked away...

Strange. I've had 4 SEAT's from Castlegate, and both the sales and service has been fantastic. I would recommend them over the local Audi and Toyota dealers anyday (I've had both makes of motors since my Leon and both were awful).

The local Audi dealer must be run by monkeys. I think the Toyota one isn't much higher up the tree....

...Castlegate...service...fantastic...

Sales side - fine, no complaints there, very accommodating, BUT entirely let down by the servicing department - plenty of scope for improvement.

Their latest effort has been to take a chunk out of two spokes on one wheel when fitting a pair of tyres (LCR). After an hour of 'debate' at their service desk involving the service supervisor, I eventually got promised(.....) my demand for a new rim. Not only did they fail to mention the damage when handing me the keys, it was implied that it was possible I damaged the wheel after I took the vehicle away - Unbelievable.

Being the only Franchise holder in Norfolk doesn't give them any incentive (through competition) to raise their standards.

I cannot recommend them at all for any service/warranty work.

you have PM.

Wont use them again.... only wanted one thing, a passenger mirror cover. Ordered it 5 weeks ago, still not recieved... They did send a cover in the first week, but it was for a VW Golf.... Not impressed with this.

Castlegate serviced my wifes Arosa a few years back, and left the oil filler cap off.
Only noticed after picking the car up and driving to work, by which time I had just began to smell oil. I was pretty p'ed off, took the car back and the younger guy on their service desk (don't know name, but he's still there) actually argued that I had removed/lost it - and this was with a queue of customers behind me!! Needless to say I took no **** and they did steam clean the inside of the engine bay and bonnet to remove the oil and replace the filler cap. I was not a happy bunny though.

Agreeing with the poor service department comments, I had my Arosa TDI (Norfolk's very first one!) serviced there for 2 years and dreaded going in each time. I actually had to tell them what the cambelt change interval was on my own car. And apparently they don't stock SEAT wiper blades because they cost too much...

pmsl i just found this thread sorry for delay.

got mine from castlegate. semi agree with whats been said. the sales team are fantastic very customer caring. the service department are a bit slow (this is norfolk after all tho) went in to buy some pd oil and the retard looked at me like i was from space. the mechanics out the back all be it most of them are my friends lol are actually very good. :)

as for fiat and alfa.. lol now thats a joke... sales department SUCKS.... teh mechanics suck (had a squeal from the rear suspension the retards only left a spanner between the rear arm and the chassie when changing something on the rear end lol) the the price was er... day light robbery... tried to charge me for taking the guy out in my car to prove they hadnt fixed teh squeal... those my mate did work on the service desk... dumb as fcuk but dam she was pretty and easy to chat to :D
