Castrol Edge Professional C1 5W-30 in FR TFSI?

I have just tried saving myself a few quid by buying some castrol edge top up oil for my FR TFSI. It is 5W-30 and appears to be fully synthetic but it doesnt have the correct VW certification on the back and it has C1 written before 5W-30. Does anyone know whether this will be ok for my vehicle or is it best not to take the chance?

It may be okay to top up as it is synthetic and 5w-30, although it is not the correct oil. It sounds like it conforms to ACEA C1 standard whereas the correct Castrol Edge 5w-30 is C3.
Certainly wouldn't use it for an oil change.
