Cd changer removal from glovebox

My car has never had a cd changer in the glove box as it has a different HU.
Is it possible to remove the box in the glovebox that the cd changer must have sat in? Cheers

If it hasn't had a CD Changer,glove box will be split into 2 sections,the left hand part being where the changer would have sat.
The left hand section being the part you buy when removing changer.

Yeah it's like lees pic. Just seems like such a waste of space having that compartment in there could have so much more space surely!!
