Ceiling light panel differences

Hello!
While researching different VAG parts that can be retrofitted into 5f I found out that our cars came with two different types of ceiling light panels (4 if we count sunroof option). Below are the pictures. Does anyone one for sure what is the difference between the two? I suspect that it has something to do with radar but I might be totally wrong. My car has the one pictured on the left and I do not have the radar, just the auto light/rain sensor which I presume has nothing to do with this panel because connection for that is in the rearview mirror.
Part numbers are also numerous because these lights can be found from golf mkV until 2020 VAG cars and there are multiple variations which are not clear for me.

FWIW my 2014 5f has the one on the right with old school bulbs. No radar.

Oh wow, didn't think of that. Do you know if that light could work with cars which don't have AT protection? I presume it should because both have two lights.

Yes it works normal and looks better in my opinion
