Hi, wish i could help but i have same problem with recoding a new fob to activate the central locking.
The damn dog chewed the original keyfob so didnt work after....i have purchased a second hand fob from ebay(same part/id numbers).
I have vcds-lite and followed instructions from ross tech but doesnt work....ie, my vcds program will not allow me to get into cent locking in order to reprogram the key i bought.
ARE THERE ANY FREE DOWNLOADS ON THE NET WHICH WILL GET THE JOB DONE??

OR...ARE THERE ANY 1 KEY METHODS WITHOUT SOFTWARE??

THERE IS ONLY 1 KEY SO NO 2 KEY METHODS TO PROGRAM THE NEW FOB...eg, one key in ignition and the other in door!!

cheers, Loz.

I'm not sure bout one key methods as you have to got to a dealer or someone with vag com software
I had mine done by some guy and with he finnished it beeps like it dose when programming but nothing happend for me,I carnt deactivate the alarm either so I unplugged the alarm fuse hazards go mad when I open the door but its better than the noisey alarm going off

find someone local to reprogramme
you will need to erase the learned values of keys first for it to readapt

Some of us are able to diy with the correct software. We cant all afford to pay someone like yourself the cost of diagnosis repair!

Anyone have links to any sites with downloads please?

Thanks again, Laurence.

you have the correct software & you're still not able to do it yourself. There's no "1 key method" without using software or key programming equipment. There's also no "software download" other than what you already have

Getting somebody who knows what they're doing & does it for a living to reprogram your key isn't going to cost that much.

I have genuine full version VCDS & also an Advanced Diagnsotics MVP Pro (multi vehicle programmer) which i use for programming keys 6 days a week, as it's part of what i do in my business

Well thanks for the info but have got my hands on another vagcom lead and software.
Key is now coded by myself...via 'cent conv'
The problem was the lead i originally purchased was a cheap copy!
All done and dusted.

i'm in Huddersfield but i do travel about the country a fair bit. What i do when it's somewhere that's miles away, such as South Wales is set up a group buy. That way each person pays a small share of my traveling costs then the cost of their key.

I've not got anything arranged for South Wales at the moment. I am doing a trip to Bristol next month though so depending where exactly you are in S/W I could make a detour on my way home

not sure yet, i've never been to bristol before so once i've set a date with the TT lads we'll decide where's the best place for us all to meet. I always meet at somewhere that's easily accessible with plenty of parking such as mway services etc so everybody can park together making it easier for me to do the keys.

What is it you need doing exactly?

ok, if you come to the meet in Bristol it's £30. If I come to you then there'll be more traveling costs on top depending on how far you are from Bristol

if you come to the meet & the key turns out to be faulty & won't program then I won't charge you anything, however if I come to you I will have to charge you my traveling costs. I run a business, I can't go all that way out of my way for free

I can replace the key if it's faulty & you want me to, I always have them in stock

if you come to Bristol then just for a new fob part of the key & programming it's £60. What model & year Seat do you have?

If you wanted a full new remote flip remote it's £90

Obviously it's gonna be more if i come to you, wherever that is as you haven't said anything other than South Wales yet which is a pretty big area :D

it'll be either a Saturday or Sunday. More than likely in the morning. Bristol is about 200 miles from me so i'll probably set off about 6am to get there for 9-9.30.

I've got quite a few others wanting a key that are around Bristol so i need to find out when everybody is going to be available on the same day
