Central locking

Hi all,

My key fob doesnt lock the doors on my car but the alarm comes on. You cant lock the doors inside the car either.

Anyone had this before?

have you checked the fuses?

Yeah ive checked the fuses and just disconnected the battery and still no joy...

sounds like the central conveniance module has broken, could be wrong

does it central lock when you put the key in the door?

Not sure why you posted it twice but might aswell carry it on in this thread.

Can you remove the delock module from the handle and turn the lock inside so simulate locking via the door?

they removed the barrell when it was done. also wouldnt i have to take the inside panel off when i do it?

I posted it twice cause i posted the first one in the wrong place and thought it would just be deleted

This happened on my Ibiza and it needed a new Central Convenience Module. Thankfully it was under warranty at the time.

Yes the barrel is removed but the barrel itself just engages into the lock behind it i believe, if you search on here for the delocking instructions, i think it should be just a case of removing a screw from the edge of the door to remove the blank.

module is easy to fit its under the steering wheel, but you will need to program the keys to it.

Ok guys i need help. Its not the Central convenience unit but i think its the drivers door window motor unit. This controls all the locking and things like the wing mirrors

Any a spare one or know anywhere i can get one from. Part number 1c0959801c031

Well im completely lost now and the car is still not fixed.

first of all none of the central locking worked. either by key fob or the button on the drivers door.

re fitted my door lock and it now locks the drivers door. I had to replace a cable from the ignition to the drivers door motor and that seems to have fixed the drivers button to lock all the doors.

However i still cant lock the doors with the fob but the alarm does work. and the doors lock when im driving but dont unlock when i take the keys out of the ignition.

Looks like its gonna be a trip to the stealers to sort it out and then the hospital to remove an arm and leg to pay for it........

Any had this before or has any suggestions on what i can do next.......

PS dont think its the central convenience unit..
