Centre air vents removal

Hi, does anyone know how to remove the central air vents in a mk3? I've got a broken slat on the left hand vent and have the part to replace it (don't ask how it was broken but it didn't involve a stiletto heel!). Looking at parts on eBay the whole surround with both vents comes out once the head unit is removed but there looks to be clips and I don't want to damage it or the dash. Otherwise it's a trip to the dealer or an independent (if anyone knows a good one around Manchester). Thanks!

if its the rear ones they just pull out bud. not sure about the front tho sorry.

Did you get this sorted Mike?

If not have a look at the thread I started on removing dash fascia (search Dashboard facing removal).
SpeedFReek posted some detailed pics on how to do it and can confirm it is pretty straight forward. If you have any difficulties, let me know and I'll help where I can.
