Hi mate, ive got a mk4 golf one fitted in my tolly, fitted it last month, its joyous!
You just have to cut out the coin tray behind the hand brake and take a slight bit off the back of the plastic handbrake sleeve to stop it catching. You never see this bit though cos its under the centre console.
I searched ages to find one that matched the cloth and plastics of my tolly though, they werent that common on the golfs to start with!
ive had one in since i have had it so dont no if its standard or not, but are you telling me that a 2003 tdi and 2004 tdi 150, which is meant to be the best/rarest model, dont have armrest as standard.... if so seat are cheapskates lol
thanks guys for the help, i have one already but the kids thought if would be fun to swing on it so the bracket is broken and its stuck in the up position, i'm going to but the mark iv golf one off ebay.
