Has anyone had one of these clutches fitted. I have a FR TDi with a stage one remap, which gives 280Lb/ft of torque. I would be interested to know if there Fast road clutch is any good and can handle this kind of torque.

Yeah, had the car remapped just over a year ago, it had the usual slippage if you put your foot down in a high gear at low revs, but now it seems to slip abit more and at higher revs in lower gears. The car's done 76000 miles though so its not too bad for a clutch.

what did they rate the paddle cultch to handle ive spoke to them before but have forgot

Not sure mate I just said that im going hybrid and need something to handle atleast 380 ftlbs and he got back to me with a price. I know they build clutchest to spec so weather im getting something off the shelf or custom I dont know its a cera metalic 6 paddle clutch is all I know. there are countless people on ukmkivs runnign pd150 hybrids on the paddle clutches they supply so they must be rated fairly high.

Just spoke to the guy at cg motorsport and he recommended the paddle clutch, he said he could knock some off the price and they would fit it for about £200. So I should be able to get a good clutch and fitting for a round £500 with a little bit of discount.

Spoke to the guy at cg motorsport today and booked the car in for friday. He said even though it's a paddle clutch it is still driveable, it just takes a little getting used to. He says it's rated to 380Lb/ft, so I took the plunge (hope its OK). At £460 fitted, its a good price if it works.

Do you know how much a single mass flywheel would be on top of the £460? As the ebay link above was for a clutch and SMF at £400 which is incredibly cheap!

mine come tuesday from cg motorsport, a 5 puk came when they told me I was getting a 6 puk I rang them and they assured me that theres no difference they just use what backing plates they have at the time, but im unsure if this is true but looking around the net hasnt been able to clarify what the number of puks acctualy effects. Can anyone shed any light on this?
