I do like the CTR, espically when the vtec kicks in! but if i had the xtra cash i would choose the LCR! its more luxary and alot toplay around with!
the looks of ctr are quite nice! but not as good as lcr! You test drove a s3? its a door as well so it should be good comparison to lcr!
My mate yellow s3 which is 300bhp, its same engine lcr but its a door and 4wd.

he got turbo upgraded! shows what these engine can handle! yeh 280 bhp is plenty!

I have never tested an S3 and I have to say I don't like the look of them either. Even if I did, I wouldn't be able to afford a good one because they are too damn expensive - especially when you can get a Cupra R for a lot less money.

I have to say the LCR is a fantastic all round model - it is comfortable, fast, easy to upgrade the power and handles rather good. The gearchange is also very good and I am coming from an MX5 which has the best gearchange in the business.

However, the CTR offers a ride more associated with the MX5 as it seems to be more raw and much harsher than the LCR - which is what I enjoyed about it. The power is there but you have to work the engine to get it out. I also enjoyed the fact that driving under 5000revs, the car felt rather normal which is how I will drive it during the week going to and fro work - I only work 5 miles away from my house and all that driving is in traffic/urban roads. During the weekend though - I will use the VTEC for fun.

In the ideal world - I would love both cars if anyone wants to lend me a few quid.
