so I sent it back and ordered another from gsf car parts...

to my amazement same result!

I disconnected the ecu for 15 mins before trying again and it made no difference

help?

magnet marelli

The company says its oem.. and suggest there something else wrong with my car as theyve never had one back...

I was told it would be bosch I was recieving...

So you reckon its down to not being oem?

im gonna wait for my money back off both company's first I reckon...

then Il see about getting a bosch... its not undrivable atm, Just lacking power and seems to be getting worse by the week..

standard map as in my stage 1 map or factory map? It runs ok now I just know its not running at what it should be.... 200bhp

feels more like 160ish

Sometimes Im like :):):):) then other times its like ermmm wheres the turbo..

I might just leave it for a week or so until I get a genuine bosch and then Il see what happens

Im not lol, Im gonna wait for both company's to refund my money.. one is £70 and the other is £100

I cant afford to fork out another £108 to europarts just yet, so il wait a week or so for my £170+ and then buy a genuine bosch

I had a similar problem, except it was ECP who provided the wrong part. They gave me a similar one for a TDI. Make sure the housing is the same, and check the part numbers match from the part number Sticky thread in this section.

By the way, if you exchange your broken Bosch unit it will be nearer £50 ish (maybe less, i forget) with ECP. ...or if you get a daft branch they will agree to the swap price, and then forget to see it through, if you go in person. Can happen! ;-)
