it sits with a an fr diesel for a long time its really needs a 6 speed gearbox because it runs out of revs in 5th. yea the clutch kind of is abit juttery is the ony way i can explain lol doesnt slip or anything but a only a little "jumpy"
but anyway back to the topic can a 105 turbo be swapped for a 140??

greyfloppyhat its a real good remap gets good fuel economy aswel driving sensibly nice delivery of power get i would recommed hes done both my leons now mk1 and mk2 and never had an problems with them. the mk1 was remapped i put approx 30000 miles on it after and was still great and never damaged anything. te mk2 iv had done since mid january and have done approx 7000 miles since and its just been servied by a seat mechanic and has the all clear and some new oil and filters

I think the manifolds are different on the 140 turbo. Maybe a turbo off a pd150 or similar may fit, someone will have to back me up on that.
Your best just looking down the hybrid route. But I don't know how the injectors will cope, tI've a feeling they may be maxed at the 150hp. Hopefully someone will say otherwise coz I'm looking to replace the core in my turbo any way.

If it's anything like the vnt 15 turbo on the older ALH engine then 155 more like. It's the fuel that runs out first on them.
Regarding the 105bhp engine in general, what are the differences? Obviously the turbo and injectors but is that all between that and the 150?

My 1.9tdi 105bhp is running 150 after a remap with no supporting mods! The map has been done since the week i got the car two years ago and I havent had one problem with it! The only thing i find is i could be doing with a 6th gear sometimes!
niallc92 if your cluth is a bit jumpy i would maybe pull the map back abit! at least until you get an upgraded turbo/injectors in which case youll probably need a new clutch anyway!

Sorry to re-hijack a thread but the 1.6 tdi cannot be remapped yet, as far as I know. I have a TMC box on my 1.6 tdi, decent gains and improves drivability massively.
Power costs money when it comes to tuning past a certain level. A straight map is fine but if you wanted to go nearer like 200bhp it does cost. You have to start looking at things like this, bigger turbos, brakes, clutch etc.

What Seat garage was that? My mk2 is 2006 1.9tdi same as yours with exactly the same miles giving out 150bhp and my clutch is 100%!
No mate mine was done by Pure Torque, a good mate of mine owns it

donnellys in dungannon its the clutch and flywheel they said that gives bother at this sort of mileage
