Changing bulbs

My left reverse light and right position light (i think you call it) have gone. I went to Halfords and was given 2 21w bulbs which fit the seat leon I have (55 plate). I replaced them but they are both still out.

My bro had a look at it and he said they should work fine once replaced but both will not work. On the dash it still says the light is deactivated.

Any ideas?

I had this happen to mine, when I upgraded to Brighter bulbs - What was wrong with mine was that simply I had loosened off the little W5W/501 light next to it - having pushed it back in, my lights worked fine.

Have a look, it maybe something simple like that...

wrong type of bulb? best check your handbook that came with the car theres a section in there with the bulbs you need and where you should be changing hope that helps..
