Changing Throttle body

Hey everyone. Has anyone on here changed a throttle body on a Leon FR mk2?

Need mine done and wanted to know how hard it was before getting ripped off by garage

diesel throttle body is easy to change
3 5mm allen keys and release intake pipe clip and connector
petrol are a bit more of a pig but still ok

4 screws mate yes. A bit fidley. May need to drop the inlet charge pipe off to allow removal

I ended up using a small mirror to allow the viewing of the rear screws. Jobs not too bad just not a 5 min job

I didn't. I took it off as part of my manifold removal.

There is a position sensor fault in it. Causing my car to go into limp mode. And not rev properly.

These lights keep coming on forcing my car to lose power and not accelerate through the gears properly. Takes me to get to 60 in 4th gear at 4 1/2 k revs.

Had it looked at by AA with fault reader. Came up position sensors. Had the pedal and wiring checked. All fine.

Garage said it is the throttle body position sensor needing fixed but that requires a new throttle body.

This is why I'm wondering how hard it is to change

Ive heard of a particular type of Nology aftermarket plug causing issues.

What plugs you recommend? And how much are they? Probably cheaper than the throttle body haha
