So my dad has just received his new Leon FR 125, done 270 miles so far and today the EPC light came on. He pulled over, turned off and on and the light went out. He rang SEAT and they said if it's slippy road it'll come on as a warning...I thought hmm smells like bull:censored: to me. Their service department said it'll be fine as long as it's gone off.

Fortunately I have an OBD11 for my own so plugged it in and it has an engine fault with the charge pressure actuator. This is the full log from OBD11:

Trouble codes:
P334B00 - Charge pressure actuator mechanical malfunction
static
Date: 2018-08-06 15:36:54
Mileage: 437 km
Priority: 2
Malfunction frequency counter: 1
Unlearning counter: 255
Engine speed: 1170.50 1/min
Normed load value: 53.3 %
Vehicle speed: 35 km/h
Coolant temperature: 94 °C
Intake air temperature: 42 °C
Ambient air pressure: 1010 mbar
Voltage terminal 30: 13.169 V

Anyone know if this is to be expected on a new car or has had it before, should it just go straight back to SEAT? I'm sure if I told them that this was the reason the EPC light came on surely they will be a bit more attentive?

Ta.
