Hi Everyone! Just rang my local TPS for a price on front wipers and they came back with £44+Vat! Does anyone know of any alternatives to genuine ones that are as good and cheaper?

Cheers

I bought some Michelin Stealth ones when I changed mine and they are really good £26 I think they cost.

However I have noticed an issue with them.

When you get them they give you a whole host of little adaptor things to connect them to the wiper arm, fine, but they are quite a bit bigger than the standard fitment.

I didn't see an issue with this until I was coming back home on the M62 one day and the wind was quite strong, because the arms sit vertical the wind was able to whip under the arms and actually pull them away from the windscreen!!

Needless to say I nearly shat myself and had to slow down to about 50mph just to get the arms back flush to the screen.

Their cleaning of the screen ability is really good but for the reason mentioned above I think I'll stick with the standard ones when I get some more lol

Think it was more like 140mph ;) lol

I was genuinely though only cruising along at 70 but the cross winds were really bad, the same thing happened going over the moors a few weeks before, the people behind me must have thought I was some kind of weirdo, overtaking them then slowing right down again lol.

People may laugh here, but go to home bargains. They're flat aero wipers are three pounds each, my Dad bought em and I followed...can't complain! Very queit and do exactly what you need them to do! It is a windscreen wiper at the end of the day...
