that link above it exactly what I am doing as I made a thread on this that is now in the detailing section on here. I have so far filled in the chip then filled again and will sand and polish this weekend will not look amazing but will look alot better. that thread is amazing thou!
So many have done it I have practised on the inside of the door you can't mess it up with unigrit the makes wipe away. If anything I may have to re touch some bit and try again. Make sure you leave the paint a few days to harden thou or it will just rub off. Will update my thread when I can but have no camera at the mo and my phone won't transfer pis to the pc for some reason!
seriously read that thread it is gold dust! I got my touch up paint form the dealers not paints 4u as he says cos there is a TPS down the road from me. I bought 2500 Megs unigrit from cleanyourcar.co.uk as there is none in my local halfords only coarse stuff and I also got sfx1 from clean your car it arrived the next day. I am following that thread and other people's advice from it basically.
£6.96 I got it for £5.43 it comes with lacquer but I am not using the lacquer as all the people in that thread haven't and think it will look blobby and ruin it!
ouch >< thts would be more obvious than mine, mine hardly can be seen unless u go really close up to the car.
This is the worse bit on my front bumper
but i think im going to get facelift bumper anyway in the near future.... oo..i notice your car has fitted one, did u tell insurance about it? my mate says dun bother because its Seat parts and claim that u didn't know
No comment on insurance not standard part so should be declared is all I will say! My front bumper was like yours looked worse4 actually but now just the bonnet as the facelift one is not bad yet but obviously it is inevitable! I think with that many that close a respray is obviously the only option!
Get a bonnet bra and you wont get chipsas bad on the leading edge. Ive had mine on now for goin down the motorway and its night and day when you take it off.
