Hi Guys,

Just had James from Chipboost remap my 130 sport and He's done an awesome job. Really friendly service and very accomodating. He traveled all the way to my house to do the work and Im well pleased with the results!!!

Also, he brought his cupra tdi with him which is lovely!!!! Now i need to get the cupra rear lights, wheels and bumpers and ill be happy!!! :funk:

Around 165bhp I am told. I went for the medium remap so as not to destroymy clutch!! Just ordered Cupra lights from Dave Lever and cupra air intake!!

...and what did it cost ?

Would also be interested to know whether it's just fuelling altered, or boost as well.

It was for both fuel and boost. He's done a real good job for £200 and he came to me!!! only took about 30 minutes to do!

Hi, i am james the guy who performed the remap.
On this car the boost andn fueling are both changed but i can remap cars to the customers own spec.
The power is kept at around the 165 - 170 bhp point to keep the reliability and fuel economy.
I have stronger maps i have used on ibiza 130 tdi's but as i am sure lots of you will know the clutch is the weak area when you start getting towards 300lb/ft torque

I remember the name now, I seem to recall a discussion on here about remapping/flashing tools ages back.

i must have the lucky jabbasport remap then. 195 bhp and 323 lb/ft after 30k miles on the standard clutch it's fine. admittadly i don't really cane it.

In my experience it isnt damaged by "caning it" the problems comes when accelerating from a slow speed in a high gear, the torque surge overcomes the clutch for a split second.

So true... thought my clutch had stopped playing up, as i drive mainly round town. As soon as I was on the M25 last night it sliped tons :(

Nothing I can do at the mo, as im totally skint.
