I would say from the "Cheers butt" statement that it's Wales, most likely south Wales. I heard that all the time while I was at Uni in Swansea.

Chipped or not? Dyno is basically the one clear-cut way you can find out.

How old/what milage is yours? is it the tdi 150?

04 plate 107k 150 cupra

Also clocked it from standing start to 65 on the speedo at 8.2 secs is this ok considering book time is 8.5?
ps this was just me and a full tank of fuel

With a map i've got mine down to 7 seconds dead!
Only me in the car and not sure how much fuel, but doubt it was less than 1/2 a tank

I should get mine done but at 107k mind you i had a passat before and had that mapped at 93k it went like the clappers

Will probably respond very well as it's all loosened up.
I had mine done at aprox 4,000 miles and its been spot on. Still loosening off now with only 27,000 on it.

I would but I have this clicking noise under load, replaced the tappets but not the cam as it looked fine but its still there. Been mentioned that the pd150 can suffer from little end probs so if that is the problem a reamap could be a disaster waiting to happen! what do you reckon Davey

Always bets to get any faults or niggles checked before increasing the power or load on the engine.
Get it looked at mate.

I have but with no fault codes and all in order on vag com and an experienced tech saying no it is not little end I dont know what to do now as a cam replacement is another £500 and I spent £1100 on two tyres clutch flywheel and a set o tappets last week!

Its bound to be something simple that costs next to nothing to fix, but it's sod law that you'll never find it.
