possibly! I'm hoping to sort out a copy of vagcom shortly so hopefully I will be able to monitor it all!

Anyone know how to fix a low vacuum issue? all the pipes appear to be fine too....

Randomly passed you this morning - car looks pretty tidy from what I could make out through the traffic!

If I hadn't of been half asleep I would of given you a toot! Sadly by the time I realised it was yourself that had passed me too much time had lapsed, so I do apologise haha!

Nothing exciting to report today, gave the car a quick once over inside and out, what with all this disgusting salt that's been on the roads recently.

She does clean up nicely :p

Looks smart, nice one. You've got me looking into exhausts now, was perving on yours as I passed you the other day! What system are you running, Cobra 3"?

Gave mine a quick going over too as it was so caked in crap but will need a proper go once the weather gets tasty so I can wax it to seal it all in. 'til then frequent love will have to do I guess.

I know its a miltek catback but I felt sure the backbox was standard until I had a gentle browse online, I would like to change to cobra in the near future though.

Hi bud. I see in a previous post you had a smoke test done. Who done that mate. Was it done in Plymouth?

yes mate, I had it done by Rhino Motors in Plympton, Shane and Ryan, I can't fault them! They also have VCDS so if you need any logging done, they're the right team!

May have to pay them a visit at some point soon. That said, I quite fancy replacing most of my hoses anyway so a DIY boost leak tester should suffice for now. Have heard good things about Rhino though

I was going to go down that route but all the major pipes are less than a year old so I didn't see the point, chucked them 20 of the queens finest found me a leak, fixed it then did another test just for good measure, although I think since this that I've developed a vacuum leak on the actuator, gonna pop down Wednesday and have a pressure test done and maybe a logging session, nothings too much for them and they appreciate an awkward car :p

All booked in for saturday morning. I asked how much and they said £60. See if i can get it done for what you paid. Lol. Hows your motor now? Hope you have it back.:funk:

Sweet jesus! is that a smoke and pressure test or just smoke? in their defence it was literally a 30 second job to find my massive split haha.

Yes indeed Luke, the original leak was from the crank breather which is a vacuum, quite common apparently, but anyway, there is a second pipe that's around twice the size that was cracked in many places, but was only leaking when the engine was quite warm, so instead of paying stealership prices for a plastic replacement, they did me a silicone one and OOOOSH sorted. But, a scan with VCDS revealed a "temp sensor fault" which is causing the car to run a bit pooey, but its a lot better and once this is done it should be hunky dorey, the only downside is the dumpvalve still seems to make the metallic TING noise on release instead of a hiss, but I hope to get to the bottom of that soon, but all in all a good day! Bring on the turbo conversion :p

Just smoke i asked for. Will see on Saturday. Got issues with mine as well. Have a look on the main page at " strange boost issues". Thats my question. Let Me know if it sounds similar to any problems you have had mate.

Hi mate. Went to rhino motors, had a smoke test. Got a leak....
Crankcase breather. The part coming out of the block. Bugger.! Booked in for thursday. Oddly car seems to be running ok at moment so dont know if it will sort my problem out. Bloody cars lol.
