chrome be gone ?

i want to get rid of all the chrome on my car but i dont know how to go about the leon letters and the badge at the back any ides would like to go black with them if that makes sense :S

You could give plastidip a try

Most people vinyl wrap them, it's not difficult and it only costs a few pounds.

just get a hair dryer and heat the leon letters and then you'll be able to get them off. Some 'sticky stuff remover' will get the rest of the residue off.

I've vinyl wrapped my badges and letters previously but then plasti dipped them last week! So theres a few options! Both vinyl wrap and plasti dip allow for them to be put back to chrome very easily, if you paint them you'll have to replace the letters.

You can plastidip them while still in place just tape around them

How good is the plasti dip guys, as I was thinking of doing it on my front and rear badge. But the rear badge is obviously used for the boot access So I'm not sure how good it would be?

Mines holding up okay so far, a week in. Will have to wait until 2 weeks time when I'm home to wash the car. Have to say it seems solid on the rear boot handle so can't imagine it coming off too easily
