We can understand this. That said, do they match though? Copper has red undertones which surely compliments the paint?

Chrome gets my vote. You can overdo the copper colour, if you're not careful, imho.
Totally get it! It does all come down to preference! It's why it's always good to see the car in person or if ordering from new, building on the website! Do you think body colour plays a role in you choice?
Absolutely body colour plays a part. Copper looks good on the dark matt grey cars, but my car's white, so there's a real risk that it would end up looking tarty.Totally get it! Totally agree. I swapped my perfectly good silver mk4 Leon for a desire red one, I couldn’t get on with silver
Desire red was dropped as an option days after I ordered it!
Having switched to my winter setup, actually new Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport tyres on my OEM black/copper wheels, a fortnight ago a gratuitous pic, in low, late afternoon sun, is in order.

As winter is coming, I need new alloys for my winter tires so I thought I had to conclude this matter and I ordered silver ones a couple of days ago.
There was none in dealers or importers stock, so I have to wait for a week or two but there will be photos coming definitely.

Another early Sunday morning, another photo session at the seaside, this time near where I live in Anatolian side of Istanbul, with a cat from neighborhood which was taking its morning stroll accompanying me. A gloomy November day after a whole day of raining, with the sun occasionally winking behind the clouds. But I'm very ecstatic today, because my car finally has its new wheels, a gorgeous set of black/silver machined 8x19" alloys, true to factory-spec in size, from Cupra genuine accessories shop.
I actually plan to use my existing set of wheels on winters and this new set in summer but I just couldn't wait until summer and wanted to enjoy their wonderful looks right away. After winter, tyres will be replaced with summer ones and things will be in their normal course as planned.
Hope you'll like it as much as I do

Definitely the best wheels (silver or copper) The white centre caps are a nice touch and I considered them. Looks like a nice place to take photos too!

Centre caps look a bit white-ish but they are actually silver, I guess it's hard to match the paint of a plastic surface with a shiny metal one. As for the place, neighborhoods along the south-eastern coasts of Istanbul are mostly nice & culturally rich places to live, a bit overcrowded but not as much as the European side. It's where I've been living since I was born in '68 and I love it
Those silver do look good on your grey car.

Copper is simply amazing on yours
and to be honest it is way more attractive than silver. But I just can't give up on my love of shiny metal looks!
