cigarette lighter ..stuck..

Right this is pretty innocuous, my cigarette lighter is stuck/jammed in the holder!

Originally it was out and in the coin tray, but I dropped a 1p coin in the holder by accident, in the process of trying to take out the 1p coin, I saw a “spark” and noise, like a pop/crackle sound.

After I managed to get out the 1p coin, I placed the cigarette lighter in and pressed the button, to see if the cigarette lighter would “charge”…it has been like this for the past 24 hours now, I have tried getting the lighter out with no such luck…do you think my lighter holder is buggered by the “spark” generated by the 1p coin?

Anyone with any ideas on how to get the cigarette lighter out? any ideas/suggestions would be most welcome.

fuse probably seems you shorted it.

mine used to stick in sometimes, as un techy as it is, give the side of the console a few thwacks with an open hand, used to dislodge mine

thanks guys,,where would i be with out you lot..probably down the dealers..

ill try "whacking" see if that will free it up first..any ideas if that fails?

ive done exactly same. cannot be bothered fixing it just yet as i dont smoke but i think the fuse has gone.
