Clattering door glass

Done a search and can't find 'owt.


When door glass is down halfway on drivers door I get a a noise from the door glass.
sounds like its moving about against something hard in the sliding slot.
Only happens when I shut the door or go over a bump.
Very annoying.
Is it a known prob and is it an easy fix?
Would rather do it myself then leave it with Bradford JCT oafs
Any advice gratefully received.

my celica gt-four used to do it
forever wound me up as it felt like they were going to fall out

ive not heard it as a problem, nor would i expect it to be for a car of this age. It is indicative of the overall window mechanism failing, not pinning the glass in place.

If your brave enough id take off the door trim and have a look.

failing that go to Ted Johnsons Seat at Barnsley (im from Bingley so i sympathise about JCT prats and i go to Ted J's now).

Mr Fickel I am just about to have my car serviced at the place in Barnsley so when its done ill let you know how its gone--------im sick of poor service and from what I can gather the Barnsley boys are worth the trip!!

ull only see me if your around saltaire at 6.10am every morning and drive around Moorhead at night to see it parked.

Dont really use it other than to get to and from work, and im on the M62 all the time as i work in motorway maintenance.

Where do you live?
