Hey everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help identify a clicking noise on by Ibiza FR MK4 PD130 TDI. I have a posted a video on YouTube, but since I am a new member on this forum I cannot post links here. However if you visit YouTube and paste /watch?v=vYd4wNWXxn4 after the the YouTube address in the web browser address bar you can view my video and listen to the problem.

I am hearing a clicking noise when I slow down, and also when I lift the clutch when in reverse with the handbrake on. I'm wondering if it's a clutch , dual mass flywheel , or a CV joint problem. It seems to be emanating from the left hand side of the vehicle and it can only be heard inside the car.

I would appreciate any help with this :)

Halfords Autocentre diagnosed this as a problem with the dual mass flywheel and carried out the 789 pound repair work. Unfortunately it hasn't fixed the problem, and they now think it's a misfire causing the rattling/clicking sound. They won't give me a refund because they reckon the DMF needed replacing anyway. I've started a new thread titled '£789 misdiagnosis at Halfords Autocentre' to see what other people's perspective is on this.
