Difficult to tell without hearing, but:
First, I'd check there was nothing stuck in your wheels/tyres that's fouling under lock.
Then check the rubber boots on your outer driveshaft joints (on the driveshaft just behind the brakes) and make sure none have split, or are leaking grease.

If nothing obvious, maybe one of your driveshaft joints is on it's way out ?

I've got this problem too, exactly the same! Turning left I get a little clicking noise, full lock (made myself feel slightly sick driving round a car park!) really bad. Did you discover what yours was? Mines only started in the past 3 days.

Actually this sounds like my problem too, which i was convinced was me breaking something after trying to lower it

Will let SEAT decide on wednesday. Would CV Joints be covered under warrenty?

in the begining mine sounded like a stone stuck in tyre and came and went depending on if you were turning.
then eventually it became more noticeable and eventually un-drivable

Yes they're covered - mine got done - they only cost £60 ish anyway

That’s what my old man said it probably was, a CV joint. Called Seat cos mine only 6months old, he told me it couldn't be at that lower mileage. I feel like I have to continually battle to get anywhere with this lot. Starting to drive me crazy.:banghead2

mine went at about 24,000 miles - the garage told me same

ooh never had that before ! - well there's always time for a first !

just wondering - but are all you who have got probs around same miles and age?

as mentioned mine was about 24k and is a Jan 2004 motor.

I suspect they may try not to, if it's been lowered - they could argue that lowering the car has affected the CV joints.

Not lowered, yet ;)

Will get it sorted (hopefully), then will finally fit my springs.

Mines not been lowered, it's 2005 model only done about 4500 miles. It is beyond me why they can't just say, right sounds like there's a problem lets get the car in and have a look, always a battle :headhurt:

Mine was lowered with different brakes too - they mentioned it - tech fella said that it would make no difference ! All fixed under warranty.

I know this is a seat site but my company car "05 astra cdti"had the exact same problem and a new cv joint fitted under warrenty at 17000 miles

no probs with the bizza fr tho

hope this helps
