The climate control on my cordy isn't working. It's not even getting a little bit cold when set to low, which although isn't the end of the world, I'd quite like to get sorted before I drive to cornwall in a few weeks time.

I managed to scan it for codes and the following came up:
01271 temperature regulator flap motor V68
01272 central air flap motor V70
01274 air flow flap motor V71
01273 fresh air blower V2
00792 ac pressure switch F129
00705 relay 1st speed coolant fan J279 open/short with ground

Are any of these known/common faults with these cars? It seems a lot of codes, could they be related by a common earth or controller fault?

In addition I've notice the outside temperature sensor is showing low, approx 10 degrees down on what it should be. I changed this sensor and it didn't make a difference.

Any ideas?

Cheers

The flap errors could be the little motors have failed or it needs the basic settings run again to re calibrate everything.

The AC Pressure switch is fairly common as it indicates both the switch is faulty or you have low or no gas in the Aircon System.

Now you have taken an initial log. Wipe them clean start the car and go through all the options (heat etc..) and see what returns.

The outside temp sensor though is unusual, unless there is a wiring or resistant fault.

Thanks for the reply

I'll have a look at clearing it down later. Will this recalibrate the flaps or is there a special way to do this? I've got a feeling there is a wiring problem with the temp sensor, occasionally I get an airbag light on dim too. The crash sensor is in the same general area as the temperature sensor isn't it, so maybe related? I'll get the gas checked sometime this week but if it is low/empty, that'll meen a leak won't it?

Do you have VCDS?

What car do you have? Engine etc... This sounds similar to the 6 dial cluster however, never heard of this in the Cordoba.

Most aircon places pressure test for leaks before refilling.

It's a 53 plate cordoba se pd130. Using an old Snapon scanner which is ok for reading and deleting fault codes but not much else

Snapon code reader won't be able to calibrate the Climate Control Module, only VCDS or the dealers can.

I doubt it but ask anyway, do you have 6 dials or 4?

I have a ibiza when I bought it the dealer said he would regas the climate control but he found it was a wire that just about reaches from end to end was broken in the middle so had to put new cable in wasn't difficult he said don't know if this helps?
