hello,was driving my cupra the other night and i noticed ive lost part of the temprature display on the panel does this mean a trip to the stealers????

What do you mean you have 'lost' it? Do you mean the display no longer works? Or part of it has fallen off?

Check out eBay then, as the units often crop up for sale on there. Otherwise try the usual suspects such as VagParts, Euro Car Parts, German Sweedish etc etc etc

(edit) By the way, if the car is still under warranty, it should be covered!

cheers rob will do shame its out of its warranty would of thought it would last more than 3.5 yrs tho

They should do, you're right. But it's like anything car related... some things last forever, some things fail early. If it's not stopping you from using it, keep an eye on eBay.

The same happened with mine. So i took it apart and cleaned the contacts on the LCD strips. It works fine now.

is there a thread on here to say you get it apart or is it fairly easy to do??
