climate control

my climate control on my lcr keeps suddenly blowing very hot now and again even when the climate control is set low say at 18 and will not adjust i have to switch the climate control completly off to stop it, when the car engine is switched off then back on it seems to cure it for awhile then it will happen again it is not doing it all the time just now and then. anybody had this problem and no a cure its not so bad now with it being so bloody cold but will be a nightmare in the summer. cheers

I am guessing a bit but I had a similar problem on a C class merc which always blew hot and felt like I had a small sun installed behind the dash!

The problem was to do with a valve which controls the hot water comming into the heating system sticking open.

Not being an expert on the the Leon as I have only had mine a few days I could only guess it may be a similar problem

I had something like that last summer, and now when the car has been running for aminute or two and air con is on (snowflake symbol) then it makes a VERY loud deep whirring noise!!! help lol
