Climatronic not cooling

Hi, I have a 2009 Altea 2.0tdi and have only had it for a couple of months and have left the climatronic set to auto and was happy enough with it but today was hot and sunny and the car wasn't cooling down. I tried recirculating mode and both set to low but it wasn't blowing cold. I would have expected really cold after a few minutes but just cool air coming out.
Is there something I can do to check out the system myself? Any help much appreciated.

Just saw a clip on you tube about how to reset a climatronic on a Seat Altea but it does not seem to work with mine, can anyone tell me how to do the self test /reset on my altea please?

Would suggest getting the AC gas level checked out - about £50 for a re-gas at a specialist place. Mine was the same and needed re-gassing at 3.5 years old (9 year old one is fine!), had some fluorescent dye added so can check for leaks in due course.

Yes was going to have it checked out, just wondered if I could have done a reset on it myself if anyone knew how to do it on my model. There are lots of you tube clips showing it being done on other VW Audi models but only one on an Altea but it's not clear which buttons to press and in what order. Thanks

Just been out and tried it but does not work for me,just switches econ and air from middle vents on. Tried with ignition off and pressing then switching ign on but nothing.
