'clonking' when turning right

today I changed my front brake pads on the LCR for the Ferrodos.

On the drivers side I now get the reverse/forward 'clonk', which I'm not too worried about after searching on here...

But the passenger side makes a 'clonk' when I'm turning right (not left!)

The only problem I had when changing the pads was that the 'inner' pad on the near-side was a bugger to get out!
it wasnt a problem with the lip on the disk, or sticking pistons, it just needed a lot of 'encouragement' to get it out!!

is it likely that the pad is just a little too large for the caliper and sticking? I'm not sure I'd be able to get the new pad out again easily? I did put copper grease on the back of the pad but I think its catching on the top/bottom.]

do you think it will sort itself out as I use the brakes more? why does it only happen when i'm turning?!

cheers

Mike

the nuts are tight and I only did one side at a time...

i think it must be to do with the inner pad being tight, although how that makes a clonk every revolution of the wheel i'm not so sure...

off to investigate now...

took 'tight' pad out, lightly filed top and bottom edges of backing plate as could see it had been rubbing there as the paint was missing.

greased it up and it slid back in a treat this time , with room to spare.

took it for a spin and still seems to be a bit of clonking but maybe not as bad as before. still, it'll have to do for now as there's nothing obviously wrong!
