Hi

I just purchased a 64-plate 1.4 FR which I collected last Sunday late afternoon/evening. The car drove home fine, albeit I felt the clutch bite point was quite low. However, it changed gear just fine.

I used the car Monday for work (a short trip) and again the car was fine.

The car has stood since then as I've been home looking after my dog who's just had an operation. I went to take her back to the vets yesterday for a post-op check and I could not get any gear other than reverse - and once in reverse it would not come out of gear.

The only way I can get the car in gear is with the engine off, as soon as the engine is on the gears cannot be selected.

I'm wondering if it's just low fluid level ? I'll get a picture shortly, but it does look low to me (it's above minimum but nowhere near the Max level). If it's not this, what are the likely suspects ? Slave or master cylinder ?

Presumably if I top the level up with some more Dot 4 then it'll need bleeding...where's the bleed nipple for this ?

Many thanks.
