Can another stronger master cylinder not be used from another VAG car?
3 times in 2 years is a bit ****.

Its the same master cyclinder for all the cars fitted with the 6 speed box. Trust me the dealers know of the problem, its one of those parts they keep in the garage!!!!!

no visible leaks, fluid level is constant. air's getting in somewhere, as it loses half a pedal overnight.

the master cylinder has been changed and it's still doing it.

it's now having the gearbox out

Go on, how much Kez?. Any goodwill gesture or discount considering it wasn't really fixed the
first time round, with having it fail 3 times?.

Did you have your clutch changed at the same time?

My slave cylinder went when my LCR had done 50k - After they had changed the master cylinder, a pipe and the slave cylinder they recommended changing the clutch!

£900 LATER ALL WAS FINE!

think it stung me for about £600 all in. only paid it as i needed the car to get me to stansted airport a few days later.

i did get them to fit two front tyres though, which was nice
