clutch problem

well i have had a search but really couldnt find anyhting

me and my mate have just dropped my sister off at her friends and driving back i heard what sounded like a a big ping anyway now the biting point has dropped really really low

after the bitting int it feels like nothing is connected to it now i think the cable has slipped but im not sure could someone pleae take a picture of the clutch connection to the pedal
im gona go take a video now and a picture of what i think is up

well i have just been outside and i couldnt get a video becasue it was to dark in my foot well but i got a couple of pictures and i think iv found the problem and whats snapped

this is a common problem m8 the pedal either need wielding or a new pedal i think! im sure its in the faq sticky things! ill look now!

thanks mate im gona have another look tomorrow and take it o a garage and tell them what i htink the problem is and get them to weld itor put a new one on as i can't weld at all

thought you knew about the common pedal box problem. mine went on my 1.4.... gonna get it welded on the cupra before it decideds to go

i did although i not to sure if its the pedal box it could be the cable support bracket as one of the previous owners has already welded it im sure he told me he did

dont follow that link lol! its only applicable to the cupras / sports! yours should be a cable clutch and looking at the pics i would say you need a new pedal!!

Sorry mate! he link is to fix the cupra problem, which is a very small metal box type thing on the pedal arm, the bot you weld back on is smaller than a 2p! the bit that broke off yours is a lot bigger! just go to a scrappy mate! should be cheap as chips!!

there aren't any ibiza in the scrappy atm other wise i would be there all the ibiza weere i live are alll in good condition belive me i see 3 on the way to work

lol! if you do need a pedal, try bay or some big breakers do delivery IIRC! a new one would be very expensive!!

ill get to the bottom of it im gona make some phone calls tomorrow i think and see what i can get sorted as i need the car for next mondya when i go back to work
