Clutch slipping?

Had my LCR 3 days now and i notice that when i put my foot down the clutch slips quite a bit, if i put it down gradually it doesnt do it.....

At first i thought it was the traction (same kind of feel) but my mate said he reckons it is the clutch slipping and now he says it i think the same. Obviously im guessing too much power down at once?

The car has been mapped aparently but i have no proof of that.

So my questions are:
1. Is it normal?
2. Is it anything to worry about?
3. Should i uprate the clutch? (What ones ect)

Oh and also the engine management light flashes a couple times then stops when it does it.
