Wondering if I could have some advice from the guys who may have the coilovers I am thinking of purchasing.

I am going to be purchasing some early next month, I ideally want to spend no more than around the £470 mark.

I am looking for a good stiff set-up with minimal travel (sagging) - I would like to drop quite low whilst still being able to have the car fully-laden.

For my budget, I can choose from the following;

FK Highsport
Vogtland Tech Sport
Supersport Race
Weitec Hicon GT

From the above, I am most tempted towards the Weitec Hicon GT, havent heard much about Vogtland coilovers, but have heard they are quite good.

Along with the coilovers I will be replacing the front wishbones (polybusing them) & suspension top-mounts.

Thanks!

Cool, thanks mate - how far have you lowered it down? Do you have any issues with rubbing/ scraping?

not sure what the standard ride height was but from the ground to wheel arch is 580mm on the standard wheels no rubbing but my 17" wheels did but only because they where 205/40 low enough for me just clears the speed bumps

I've got the Weitecs on mine to Alex, I think they give a good compromise between comfort and stiffness.

AP coilovers on mine, no issues of scraping although I have no interior..did have to move a couple sets of wheels the other week and didnt catch.

I do have 8J fronts and 9J rears with the tyres pretty muching touching the bodywork so im as low as I can go lol

I would have said Weitec out of the list
When you see a few people with them on , you just know they have to be good
When I worked at Awesome , we sold shed loads of Weitec , cracking quality :D

I am sure it would be a good choice
PM Awesome Mike , I am sure he will look after you

cheers guys, think I will be heading for the weitecs then. Need to get a few other bits to fit at the same time, wishbones..etc. Fed up of all the clunking & rattling!

Yes Wetiec and KW are made in the same factory
AP`s are made by another one , but are owned by KW
To be fair , I would reccomend the witecs as they are good prices abd cracking quality , best of both worlds

Well - I collected my new Wietecs yesterday afternoon.
Cant wait to get em' on - just need to get new front top-mounts/bearings next week.
