Just a quick question for those with coilovers!

What did you do about the bracket that suspends the ABS cable & brake line?
Iv noticed on the standard suspension there is a bracket that holds them in place - but not on the coilovers.

I have had cheap coilover packages with no brackets on before but wasnt to arsed as I didn't need them but if you do and you don't have them I'd suggest sending them back!

Ah thanks for the advice, I have just looked at my existing shocks, the bracket that holds the brake line actually unbolts, so I will be able to mount it on the Weitecs (the bracket mounts are on the coilovers)

They dont have brackets / securing points for the ABS sensor line - this is understandable though I guess as there is thread there! lol - Will probably just secure it with a cable tie or something.

Hope you said Sarah said HI ;)

Glad they looked after you as usal ;)

Well after the coilovers sitting in the garage for over a week, I received my fresh topmounts & bearings yesterday morning - no sooner had the postman left I was out with the toolkit.

Fitting went well, took me just on four hours. - need to get the tracking/alignment set up this week at some point (letting the springs settle for a few days before I wind them down any more)

The rear tyres are just tucked up in the arch (17" superleggeras & 15mm spacers) even with 4 people in the car it doesn't rub - really happy with that.

And for those who said they have similar ride qualities to the standard setup - your all a bunch of lying gits!

I didn't

However, im booking in again for allignment/tracking next week hopefully so ill give you a mention.

They did knock a little off the price for me too, think it was 36p if I remember. :cartman:

What is the ride like on them mate?

The ride all round has been stiffened up - the rear feels stiffer / harder than the front.

Definite difference to handling - when I used to corner quickly, the front end would dive & lift the rear and would **** a wheel easily.

With the coilovers, everything is kept more level so its more composed through cornering.

As I said, its been stiffened up - but thats expected with coilovers, I quite like it!

Just need to get it tracked/aligned/camber now as its pulling slightly to one side.

Hmm, I phoned up the company n they said that they wouldn't fit :s

Confused haha

People fit Cupra suspension on their 1.4s, I can't see why it wouldn't fit. I've got a set of Weitecs on my 1.4 that I'm going to fit to my Cupra when I get time.
