hiya guys,

my wife has picked up a new 56 plate fr tdi (3dr). she wants to put coilovers on it-- what has everybody used and what would ppl recommend?

she also wants it mapped and from what i can read cc seems to be the preferred choice.. are there any midland dealers?

check out JBS for custom code...

As for coilovers i had FK SIlverlines on mine, the handling was spot on, comfort wasnt too bad, but i feel the quality wasnt that good, they only cost £450ish...

It depends how much you want to spend, KW do some good kits if you've got the cash

good old jbs.. use to take my polo there years ago (well about 3-4years ago).

i had h&r coilovers on my polo. do u know if they make em for the ibiza?

Is it worth getting cupra bushes though??

Orange said it made it too 'crashy' after fitting them?

Whups sorry, i just posted that in the wrong thread but its still relevant :D

When you get the Suspension changed id get them done - standard bushes die after 40k/2years and make the car very floppy. Made a night and day difference on mine and their maintenence free!

oops... I only replaced top mounts, bearings, anti roll bar and drop links...

Its expensive to replace separately?

i reccomend eibach coilovers, i got the pro street-s which are height adjustable, they're still really comfortable but when pushed tighten up! get bushes done as well! o and a seat strut brace lol

how much would u be looking at for a setup like that?

is it worth putting spacers on the rear to widen the track?

ive got fk coilovers from sisson and im happy as larry! ive got strut brace and 20mm rear hubcentic spacers ive bought a vrs anti roll bar its only 1mm thicker but do you guys think it will make any diffrence???

only one way to find out! i got an eibach 1 but had it fitted at same time as my coilovers so the difference wasnt that obvious. What did make a big difference was the powerflex bushes, i reccomend them.

how much did the eibach coilovers cost then?

how about the fk ones?

they were £482 + VAT so a bit more expensive than the fk's but havent driven another ibiza with the fk's so dont know about the difference? im happy with them and they're height adjustable to so im gonna lower it more when i get smaller tyres which is a plus! ive also been readin that other suspension kits now use the eibach springs on their shockers so they must be good. let us know wot u end up gettin!
