Coilovers - Which Ones Fit

Okay,

On the look out for some cheap second hand coilies at the moment and browsing the other forums on the look out.

Really want to change the suspension on the 8v as its mine again and 3 years on 40mm springs cant be good for it.

Ive seen some adverts for Mk2 golf one's and i am pretty sure Chrisdaman said ages ago he was looking to take some off a mk2 golf but what other ones fit ?

Polo 6n ?
Mk2 Golf ?
Mk3 Golf ?

Ibiza suspension fits Ibiza's & is correctly sprung & damped

repeat for all other options

Fitting, and being correct are two different things & judging by the state of some people's cars I might suggest that taking the opinion of people who fitted 'whatever' to their cars might be foolhardy.

Some lazy manufacturers list Polo / Ibiza kits - they're wrong.

Oh right,

so just becuase the fit in the same holes and bolts doesnt mean the kit has been designed / engineered for the weight & set up of the Ibiza.

But one thing is crap with all these manufactures the springs listed for the GTi/Cupra are the same as the ones used for 1.0, 1.4, 1.6, etc.... only thing different is the damper.

Had a right argument with Koni over the phone for that lol

Yeh dude there different the one on the mk3 have 3 little screws at the top that hold it to the bodywork and on the mk2 it has one big nut
