correct you wont need spring compressors as you wont need to take the old stuff apart to get the top mounts off. As long as the new ones come with everything you need that is :) I've heard of some not coming with all the bits but most should

You will want a full 4 wheel alignment done. This is camber and toe, which area do you live in?

same thing, you need the tracking and camber done. Which is sometimes called a 4 wheel alignment amongst other things! However make sure its done by a proper place and not somewhere like Kwik Fit, Q (or whatever its called) etc.

venner for the alignment side of it or fitting?

aligment was easy paid 45 sniffs.
they did toe, camber, and few other bits which i have forgotten.

he gave me a graph of the tracking also.
fitting was easy. i personally thought the fronts where easier to do than rears. its just all bolts.
if u need any help just drop me a pm

Yeah a place near me will do it for £50 so about the same.

Also where did you get your top mounts from? Seat?

If so have you got part numbers and cost as i need to get them to make it easier to swap over.

take alook at this venner.
i had new top mounts with my coilovers as i bought them second hand.

Thanks for that link

Is it just the front that i will need top mounts for so 2 of these:

http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=179

Or will i need 2 of the bearing aswell

http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=180

Will i need to get anything for the rear?

Sorry if i sound abit dumb but just want to make sure i get everything i need at once so that they are easy to fit without having to use any of the old bits.
