I have no experience with the Collins DV, but in the 1st instance, and it's probably something you've already done, just make sure that everything that you un-did to remove the forge unit is up nice & tight on the new unit.

The loss of power (if there is any) is more than likely down to boost leak somewhere, and the easiest way to check this is with a Boost gauge...

Have you tried putting the Forge unit back on to see if there is a change in power?!

The issue you are having maybe because you are using a dump valve and not a recirculating valve, the ecu will probably see your dump valve as a boost leak! The Forge split-r is a special in that it only dumps some of the charge, so ecu is kept happy but you still get a wooshy noise. In my opinion your best course is to sell the Collins and either put on the split-r or better yet a Forge 007 fully recirculating valve!

thats called limp mode.. your car dont like the dv.. i been throught the same with mine and it is alot easier to go fully recirc. your car will be alot smoother and pull stronger.

i went the bailey dv26 route but on partial throttle the dv was leaking

I think Rob Don had a Collins Double Piston Dump valve at one point with no problems. Give him a PM and ask him about it.

ive got a collins twin piston on mine mate runs fine and pull the same.....

After reading your other thread isn't that "had"...sorry!! :ban:

Some engines will run fine with VTA type valves, while others have a fit. I'm sure RobDon was running an HKS SSQV on his at one point with no problems at all. I've tried a full VTA on mine, and wasn't happy...just luck of the drawn with the engine really?!
