Comms problem

Finally got my cable today, hooked it up all excited... and nothing.

Vagcom can read no56, the radio and number17, the instruments. But nothing else.

Ive tried different port speeds but with no luck, any suggestions?

what version of vag-com? what cable? what car?

v311.2 - 2000 ibiza cupra - this cable

you plugging into serial on your laptop or using a usb to serial addapter? if the latter then thats probably your problem.

Try disabling the onboard modem?

Ill try disabling the modem tonite, ive got 409.1 installed but didnt have time to try it last night.

Just tried with 2 other laptops but the same problem, can read 17 and 56 without any problems, just nothing else.
