Computer Reliability

How reliable do people find the onboard computer in terms of MPG and miles left in the tank?

Also how long can you go on "0" miles fuel?

Cheers.

I have been 25 miles past "0" miles left and not had issues.

The computer seems to give better mpg figures than in real measurement.
(brim the tank - drive 500 miles - brim the tank - calculate mpg)

I posted the same question when first got my Pd130, and I found out after filling up when the computer says 0 miles left there was just over a gallon fuel left in the tank, which if I drive sensibly is anything between 35-60 miles depending if I’m on a motorway or not!

When the light comes on you have 7 litres left in the tank. Not sure how quickly the computer goes to 0 after the light comes on.

As said, fill tank, drive 500 miles, fill tank and calculate.

If you can be bothered calculating, sign up here and it does it for you. >> http://www.spritmonitor.de/en/
